Jancis Robinson on Alto Adige’s white wines – and our KOFL!

Jancis Robinson on Alto Adige’s white wines – and our KOFL!

The renowned wine critic Jancis Robinson, in her recent article "Wines as cool as a mountain stream", also published in a shorter version in the Financial Times, praised the outstanding quality of Alto Adige’s white wines. She describes the region as a leader in producing top-quality white wines – and highlights our KOFL Sauvignon 2022, which she named her favorite during a tasting in London last autumn, as well as our Pinot Bianco 2023, which she includes among the recommended white wines from Alto Adige.

With great enthusiasm, she details the remarkable diversity of Alto Adige’s terroir: vineyards stretching from 200 to 1,000 meters in altitude, creating an extraordinary range of microclimates and soil compositions. These very characteristics, uniquely compressed within the municipality of Kurtatsch – a rarity in Europe! – allow us to produce wines with an unmistakable character and pronounced freshness, authentically reflecting their origins.

What a joy to see that this – and our KOFL Saucignon and our Pinot Bianco in particular – has also convinced Jancis Robinson!
