SOMA XXV

In an exclusive and limited edition, grapes from the very best parcels were vinified as Riserva. The result: 2,936 bottles (0.75 l) and 182 magnums of the 2020 vintage. A stricter vineyard selection, along with extended maturation in barrique and in the bottle, has given this wine remarkable depth, complexity, and longevity.

This cuvée unites the warmest vineyards of Cantina Kurtatsch in the geographical unit Brenntal. The clay and dolomite gravel soils, combined with the southern location of Kurtatsch in Alto Adige, are ideal for cultivating the noble Bordeaux varieties. Merlot sets the tone with its rich fruit, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds spice, elegance, and depth. Warm daytime temperatures, balanced by the cool night air descending from the Mendel ridge, create a unique and unmistakable style: rich in structure with Alpine freshness.

A true collector’s item: twelve different labels, arranged in rows of 3x 0, 75 l within the wooden case, together form the complete SOMA motif.
